About Sana Hastakala |
Sana Hastakala means "small handicrafts" in Nepali and we are dedicated to fostering the resurgence of traditional craft skills as well as applying modern techniques in order to generate income for under previledged craft producers who are mostly women.
Sana Hastakala was established in 1989 with the financial and technical support of UNICEF. A year later it achieved self sufficiency . It is registered with HMG as NGO. This is a Not profit sharing organisation.
We are the founding member of Fair Trade Group Nepal(FTG) and member of International Federation of Alternative Trade(IFAT). |

| Key Objectives
The main objective of our organization is to meet the marketing requirements of handicraft producers who are mainly women and operating on a very small scale,usually from their homes. |

| » To promote the export of Nepalese handicrafts |
| » To motivate handicraft producers and sponser professional training workshops where approprate |
| » To promote handicrafts from different parts of the country, especially from the areas of economic weakness. |
| » To locate tradional handicrafs from all regions of Nepal and promote the upgraded version of the product |
| » To provide financial and technical support to craft producers if appropriate. |
