Training Workshop
In 1996 we organised a craft producers workshop in order to identify , discuss and resolve key problems faced by the craft producers. Fifty five producers from different parts of Nepal particpated and made recommendations which centered around their needs for specific training and market information. In addition, certificates and prize money were awarded to recognise and motivate producers.
In response to these suggestions, Sana Hastakala established a craft information and training center in Lalitpur and training sessions have been conducted in crochet knitting and recycled plastic material crafts to date.
Most of the loom is constructed from bamboo and this type of loom is found in the homes of traditional weavers throughout Nepal.
